Duties/Pligte        

• Administration, coordination and management of the total purchasing processes (placing and following up on orders, shipping orders, following up and timely payment of orders).
• Quality control of products delivered.
• Solicitation of quotes.
• Applying SU's purchasing and tender policy with regard to all purchases.
• Liaising with staff, students and external parties in terms of enquiries with regard to purchasing related issues, as well as the application of the purchasing and tender policy.
• Purchasing products and services.
• Product and market research.
• Administration of imports, exports and custom clearance.
• Import and export permit applications

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

• Advanced diploma (NQF7) in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or similar.
• Five years' relevant experience in a purchasing environment.
• The ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Proven ability to function independently and in a team.
• Basic computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• A valid Code EB driver's licence.
