    Senior Commercial Manager-2307014885W

    Responsibilities and the impact YOU will have:

    Commercial Planning

    • Work closely with Brand, Shopper and Customer teams to deliver Business Plan process from initial customer inputs through to ‘Sales to Marketing’ alignment.
    • Dissemination of Channel, Customer, Brand targets and trade spend budgets supported by the segmentation.
    • Lead the team to develop and then deploy winning price, promotion across all Kenvue strongholds and all customers/channels for SA.
    • Support the Customer Development team with trading term & national promotional grid negotiations.

    Commercial Operations

    • Develop and implement GTN plans to deliver targets through the Customer team and wider cross-functional teams.
    • Leverage scale and manage reporting through RAMET cluster.
    • Maintain and ensure governance and adherence to commercial policies and procedures.

    Engage with Customer Finance

    • Work with local Customer and Finance teams to ensure FY business performance and targets are delivered, identifying gaps where relevant and formulate strategies and plans to course correct.
    • Manage the monthly and quarterly targets and reporting through leadership of the Sales to deliver meeting.
    • Manage the monthly financial reporting function to ensure operational efficiencies are maximized.

    Building capability and sharing best practice

    • Develop external network to broaden perspective and to ensure Kenvue approach to Commercial Planning and Activation is in line with/ahead of external best practice.
    • Support Key account teams with actionable and innovative analytics driven insight using internal and external data sources.
    • Leading and conducting employee commercial capability training & development workshops.
    • Develop RAMET collaboration to drive synergy and leverage scale in initiatives and best practice across the region.

    People Management/ Leadership

    • Direct line management of 3. Drive engagement and energy of total function through development of a clear and compelling team purpose and vision. Inspire change and agility.
    • Gain support and motivate team to deliver results.
    • Support the delivery of team outputs at highest quality standard.
    • Provide team with structure, direction, and unbiased feedback.
    • Inspire and encourage ideas that challenge thinking and ways of working.
    • Develops team and manages talent for the future.
    • Acquire knowledge of the Quality Management System that have been adopted by the AMET Cluster of Marketing Companies and the relevant Quality System Procedures that are applicable to the job through inclusion of related processes and procedures in the individual training plan and implementation of these procedure in the applicable job-related processes.
    • Maintain 100 % adherence in training plan timeliness and ensure appropriate application of relevant Quality and Compliance processes and procedures to the job.
    • Report any non-compliances or deviation to the Commercial Quality and Compliance Head of sub-cluster in AMET

    Qualifications
    What we are looking for

    • 8 – 10 years related experience
    • Relevant Degree or equivalent in Commerce, Analytics
    • Solid understating of customer landscape across South Africa
    • Engaging leadership style and ability to lead large team in a complex ambiguous environment
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across functions and teams
    • Strong commercial acumen and strategic agility
    • Good IT skills (especially Excel)
    • 2-4 years people management experience
    • Key account management knowledge
    • Financial and Business acumen
    • Analytical Skills (data and finance)
    • Sense of urgency
    • Managing complexity
    • Results driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
