Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in managing enterprise or municipal-level data centre environments Certifications preferred: VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, or Cisco Data Center Proficiency with virtualisation, server management, and storage platforms (e.g. Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE)
Duties :
Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of high-availability, energy-efficient data centre infrastructure Manage server hardware, virtualisation platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), storage systems (SAN/NAS), and backup solutions
Ensure uptime, failover readiness, and capacity planning of MTC's Tier 3-aligned data centres
Support hosted services for public Wi-Fi, municipal applications, CCTV, Smart City IoT systems, and cloud platforms Oversee data centre physical and logical security, environmental monitoring, and power/cooling systems Conduct regular DR (disaster recovery) testing and ensure BCP (business continuity) readiness
Collaborate with network engineers, cybersecurity teams, and external vendors for integration and optimisation Maintain asset management records, configuration documentation, and change controls Mentor junior data centre technicians and lead incident response and root cause analysis for major issues
