Senior DBA at Flash Group

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setup Database management plans & maintenance schedules
• Investigate problems identified in transactional systems with the goal of tracing back to problematic data or system issues
• Escalate issues that cannot be resolved manually to the Hosting & Infrastructure Manager
• Document manual processes and give input to the design of automated processes
• Consult in design of all database systems
• Manage SQL Access and User roles
• Setting up and configuring of Power BI Gateways
• Manage SQL,SSIS,SSRS,SSAS and Power BI access
• Optimization and Performance Tunning
• Setup Database management plans & maintenance schedules

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

• Matric
• Relevant tertiary qualification is preferred
• 10+ Years’ experience working in a similar role.
• SQL Knowledge & Experience
• Knowledge of SQL performance tuning

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• SQL Database Administration
• SQL 2014 Std
• SQL 2016/2017 & 2019 Enterprise Edition
• SSRS / SSIS / SSAS / Power BI
• Always On High Availability Failover Clustering (2 node, 3 node clusters)
• Database capacity and performance tuning
• Support and Maintenance of SQL databases
• Automation of maintenance procedures
• Backup and Restoration of databases
• Sharding and/or partitioning
• SQL Server
