    Senior Digital Display Sales Executive

    Description

    • Ad Dynamo is Africa’s largest digital sales house, representing Twitter, Snapchat, Spotify and Verizon Media exclusively in SA and sub-Saharan Africa. We are looking for a senior digital display sales executive to service and grow key accounts in Joburg for Verizon Media (Yahoo, Huffpost, TechCrunch etc).
    • The position requires daily communication and service of our agencies and brands. The ideal candidate would be a high-performing, experienced digital sales person with solid knowledge of the display advertising landscape - native as well as programmatic. You will be comprehensively trained on the Verizon Media product set but previous display ad sales experience, as well as a strong media agency network will be key drivers for success.

    This role comprises the following responsibilities:

    • Drive new and grow existing account revenues
    • Achieve quarterly sales targets
    • Provide day-to-day support to allocated customers
    • Manage and build strong, long-term brand and agency relationships
    • Reporting on campaign performance
    • Activate new customers through strategic selling
    • Ensure customers are educated and informed of all new product offerings
    • Fulfil all role functionalities associated with operations and sales


    A typical day consists of:

    • Educating brands & agencies on Verizon Media solutions and best practice
    • Preparing and presenting proposals to solve business objectives and generate ad sales
    • Managing communications with agency & brand & ensuring ad performance is optimal
    • Liaising with our Account Management and Brand Strategy teams for day-to-day support
    • Daily communication with management on account progress and next steps

    Requirements

    • Digital sales experience (minimum 4 years)
    • Digital marketing experience
    • Knowledge of digital advertising products crucial
    • Knowledge of programmatic advertising crucial
    • Knowledge of South African/African agency/digital landscape would be a key advantage
    • Excellent presentation skills - spoken and written
    • Good numerical skills - create Keynote proposals and insertion orders independently
    • Ambitious, tenacious, mature and positive can-do attitude
