Senior Installation Technician – Cell Tower Security & Network Systems
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Senior Installation Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems, vibration sensors, and network infrastructure on cell phone towers. The ideal candidate will have experience working at heights, a solid understanding of network and security systems, and a commitment to industry safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure CCTV cameras, vibration detection sensors, and network equipment (e.g., routers, switches, cabling) on cell tower infrastructure.
Conduct site assessments to determine optimal equipment placement and signal coverage.
Perform climbing and rigging work on towers in accordance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
Run and terminate Ethernet cables to support surveillance and data transmission systems.
Ensure all installed systems are fully operational, tested, and integrated with monitoring platforms.
Document installation details, including equipment models, serial numbers, configurations, and network diagrams.
Troubleshoot and repair faulty installations or system malfunctions as needed.
Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and site coordinators to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in CCTV/security system installation, sensor deployment, or telecom/network infrastructure.
Comfortable working at heights.
Understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, routing, switching).
Familiarity with power supply systems, including solar and backup batteries, is an advantage.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote or regional tower sites.
Physical Requirements:
Comfortable climbing and working at heights of up to 50 meters.
