Senior Java Developer (Back end)- Nikhil’s Team at Salt South Africa

• We are Building out X’sSWAT Team for a rather exciting project they are rolling out. These guys will be at the forefront thereof, a great chance for a contractor or permy to 10X their experience.

Experience and requirements

• Java and Spring boot expertise
• Strong understanding of core Java concepts and design patterns.
• Developing and maintaining robust and scalable applications with Java and Spring boot.
• RESTful APIs design
• System design and architecture
• Ability to design and implement scalable, high performance and secure software solutions.
• SOLID principles 
• Database skills
• Strong proficiency in working with relational databases and/or NoSQL databases, including query optimization and data modeling.
• Front-end technologies
• Experience with modern frameworks such as angular, react or Vue
• Message-driven architecture
• Familiarity with tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication
• Cloud and containerization
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and scalability
• DevOps and CI/CD
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build tools and potentially workflow tools like Github.
• Agile methodologies
• Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in code reviews
• Problem-solving and communication
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Leadership and mentorship
• Senior roles often involve guiding junior developers and contributing to the technical strategy

Experience level

• 5-10 years in Java with a significant portion focused on Spring boot (Really I would look for 6+ Years where you can)
