A 2 year postgraduate degree or 4year Honours degree in Landscape Architecture.
Minimum of 5 years or more relevant experience.
Experience within Local Government highly advantageous
Professional registration as a Landscape Architect(SACLAP)
Valid Code B driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas
Prepare and oversee the professional landscape architectural design and implementation of complex and/or large scale public space projects
Initiate and coordinate the preparation of landscape policies and guidelines
Scrutinize, assess and comment on or articulate the landscape architectural requirements of largescale and/or complex development plans
Facilitate the participation of relevant stakeholders in the
identification, development and adoption of landscape plans, strategies, frameworks, policies and guidelines.
Support the implementation of capital projects and development of landscape architectural design, strategies, policies and guidelines of the Department’s capital investment programme in order to ensure the role out of the City’s service delivery objectives and the IDP
