To direct and manage the implementation of Sasol’s communications strategy, ensuring the development of suitable frameworks, the development and integration of multimedia content, messaging and communication activities at an executive, functional and business unit level.
To support the protection and enhancement of the Sasol reputation by contributing to employee engagement, a One Sasol culture and enhancing leadership communication.
Key Accountabilities
Promote, protect and preserve Sasol’s image and reputation by directing and managing the Group Communication portfolio across, comprising content development, management, internal communication, global channel management and integration.
Develop, embed and maintain a fit-for-purpose content framework to guide the development of strategic and tactical messaging, ensure the seamless distribution of content via all Sasol platforms including traditional (broadcast), online (social) and face-to-face (rich).
Drive initiatives that support the creation and functioning of Group Communication as a Centre of Excellence, and a shared services function.
Direct and design/develop tools (protocols, frameworks, governance processes and measurement activities) that can be applied globally for content management, internal communication and channel management
Develop and implement the executive, leadership and internal communications strategies and plans for proactively aligning employees around our purpose, values and strategy.
Working in harmony with OME leadership teams to improve employee communication and engagement and contribute to improving Sasol’s culture as express through the Pulse Survey.
Keep employees informed on important Sasol news and updates in a timely, relevant, and engaging manner.
Oversee Group Corporate Communication team in delivery of communications campaigns, messages and activations (events etc as necessary)
Oversee Group Channels, including, campaign dissemination, monitoring, and moderating.
Proactively lead Sasol’s internal communications that align to Sasol’s strategic pillars and priorities.
Be a strategic advisor to leadership on internal positioning, communications and messaging aligned to OME strategic objectives
