Senior Manager (Ict) at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose    

• To set the ICT Strategy for Ethekwini Electricity and develop and implement the necessary business plans to achieve the objectives of the Department through ICT.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Manage and develop subordinates.
• Prepare the medium and long term ICT strategy and business plan for the Ethekwini Electricity.
• Understand the strategic objectives of eThekwini Electricity.
• Actively maintain technological awareness.
• Establish and maintain liaison with system users.
• Establish and maintain liaison with Eskom, outside bodies and suppliers.
• Market the services of the Division.
• Assist the Deputy Heads and Head (Electricity) in the formation of a business strategy.
• Review administrative and financial functions as required by overseeing the development and maintenance of standards.

Essential Requirements    

• Degree (NQF Level 7) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 7 years relevant experience of which 2 years must be at management level.

Preferred Requirements    

• Post graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field.
• 8 years relevant experience of which 3 years must be at management level.
