Job Purpose    

• Manages the key performance areas associated with the provision of an efficient and effective Enterprise Network and Telecommunication Infrastructure.

This post reports to DEPUTY HEAD (TELCMS NETWK & ELCTRN SERV)

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Defines and aligns the immediate, short- and medium-term objectives and plans associated with the Network and Telecommunication Infrastructure Branch.
• Manages outcomes associated with the utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel within the Branch.
• Prepares capital and operating estimates for the Branch and controls expenditure against approved budget allocations.
• Manages and controls the procedures, systems and applications associated with the Networks and Telecommunication Branch.
• Directs project management processes to support improvement to current approaches and systems relating to Network and Telecommunications.
• Manages quality of service and performance standards of suppliers and initiatives new relationships with specific suppliers.
• Co-ordinates specific administrative requirements associated with the key performance and results indicators of the functionality.

Essential Requirements    

• Degree (NQF Level 7) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 7 years relevant experience in the green industry of which 3 years must be at a management level.

Preferred Requirements    

• Post graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field.
• 8 Years relevant experience of which 4 years must be at a management level.
