    Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Wadeville

    Job Specification

    • Supervision and administration of Engineering Change Management requests.
    • Analyse Kronos data, perform RCA and implement improvement solutions in areas affecting productivity.
    • Provide guidance to ME’s on creation of work instructions and process flow documentation.
    • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the department/s and ensure completion of such projects and report out on the outcome.
    • Audit manufacturing departmental visual performance (dept. & cell) boards and ensure compliance.
    • Keep BU and Plant metrics up to date.
    • Administration of AR’s and capital expenditure.
    • Plan and implement continuous improvement opportunities to reduce cost, improve productivity, safety, quality, velocity, OTD, etc.
    • Train Operators on 6S and other OpEx tools, to facilitate continuous improvement, ownership and accountability.
    • 6S agent: Provide the necessary support to assist in maintaining a good 6S score in assigned area. Make improvements to improve 6S and safety conditions. Implement improvements based on safety committee findings.
    • Facilitate and drive Kaizen events and ensure sustainability.
    • Optimization of the assembly and manufacturing processes.
    • Reduce cost within the business units.
    • Plan and revise layouts to improve process flows and facilitate waste reduction & elimination.
    • Use various Industrial Engineering problem solving tools, to identify the root cause and generate appropriate and sustainable solutions.

    Minimum Skills Required

    • Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering.
    • Broad general knowledge and exposure to manufacturing principles, ECM admin, Continuous Improvement tools.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the heavy manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of essential systems, such as SAP, Microsoft Office, View & Print, Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.
