Senior Material Controller FTC (Richards Bay) at Mondi Group

An exciting opportunity awaits you at Mondi South Africa. The Project Vuselela team is searching for a Senior Material Controller  to join our business on a 1- year fixed term contract. This vacancy is located at our mill in Richards Bay, KZN.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the purpose of this role is to coordinate spares and materials for a major Capex project in the Richards Bay Mill according to the related Mondi Richards Bay procedures. The successful incumbent will provide master data progress reports for management interpretation.

Qualifications & Expertise

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (N3 equivalent as a minimum).
• SAP training
• Valid South African Drivers license

Job Experience

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in plant maintenance and spare part procurement planning.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience SAP from a maintenance and spare part management and planning point of view.
• Relevant technical knowledge of a boiler plant will be an advantage.

Key Performance Areas:

• Compile a procedure for the management of parts on site related to the major Capex project.
• Finalizing the arrangements for storing parts on site / off site as required.
• Compile a procedure for managing parts on site (receiving the parts for construction, and issuing the parts to the installation contractors).
• Coordinating and recording materials required for the project.
• Analyse data, interpret and record material receipt, issuing and capturing on SAP
• Updating systems and procedures regarding statutory requirements.
• Ensures that projects required function locations are created.
• Ensures that the required material masters is created.
• Ensures bill of materials are completed in line with standards.
• Ensures all the required maintenance plans are loaded on SAP.
• Prepare documentation and systems for auditing.
• Liaise with CMS for correct execution, highlighting any deviations/problems.
• Supply project material input into project departmental plans
• Generating information for reports on material used, status of the projects stores and inventory
• Have a role in maintaining compliance certificates
• Management of the project store for this specific major project:
• Ensure all equipment, spares are stored correctly
• Receiving and issuing of material are done according to policy
