    Senior Officer: Skills Development Programme (SDP) Monitoring

    Description

    SDP Monitoring and Evaluation

    • Receive and Process request to conduct monitoring
    • Tracking the scheduled monitoring
    • Conduct regular site visits and assessments to evaluate curriculum implementation across various educational institutions and training providers
    • Follow up on remediation requirements
    • Provide feedback to the manager on outcome of the monitoring
    • Submit good quality and compliant monitoring reports to the manager in line with the SoP and requirements by the QCTO

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Collaborate with educational institutions, training providers, industry representatives, and government agencies to promote best practices in skills curriculum implementation
    • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and forums to provide feedback and guidance on curricular development and enhancements
    • Act as a liaison between various stakeholders to ensure alignment of skills development programs with market needs

    Achievement of Work Plans

    • Execute work plans and drive the evidence collection in real time
    • Produce reports against the implementation of work plans
    • Respond to audit findings with complete evidence, on time
    • Implement documented data management practices
    • Comply to policies and procedures in the unit

    Management Support

    • By identifying skill gaps or training needs among the SDPs, the senior officer can help facilitate professional development initiatives. This ensures that staff are well-equipped to deliver the monitoring effectively
    • The senior officer acts as a liaison between the managerial teams, and other stakeholders
    • The senior officer must ensure that in the absence of the manager, he/she attends meetings, compiles and submits reports and escalate any urgent matters to the senior manager

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate, at a minimum NQF 4
    • National Diploma or equivalent certification (NQF 6) in Education, Training and Development, Public Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation or related field
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the education, training and development sector, of which 1 year should be supervisory experience
