• The Senior Power BI Developer is accountable for designing, building, deploying, and administering complex reporting solutions. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to develop advanced analytics solutions that address key business questions and enhance decision-making processes. The Senior Power BI Developer will also oversee the administration and governance of the Power BI platform, ensuring that reporting solutions are efficient, effective, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive data reporting and analytics solutions by developing sophisticated data models and visualizations to translate business requirements into actionable insights and user-friendly designs.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, delivering reports and dashboard solutions that adhere to specifications, employing Agile project methodologies.
• Lead the coordination of Power BI adoption and best practices across the European organization.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes within Microsoft Power BI.
• Support activities throughout the testing delivery lifecycle, including unit testing and validation of dashboards.
• Create intuitive, informative, and interactive visualizations that effectively communicate data significance and insights.
• Partner with IT and business colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve incidents and defects in developed dashboards.
• Ensure adherence to Power BI governance standards, including workspace management, monitoring of Power BI usage, and managing Power BI Premium capacity.

Professional Requirements

Education, Training, and Computer Skills:

• Degree: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a numeracy-related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in BI development, focusing on data analysis, visualization, modeling, and presentation.
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong command and practical experience with DAX and Power Query.
• Comprehensive understanding and experience in ETL processes and Data Warehouse (DWH) methodologies.
• Proficiency in using Azure DevOps or Jira for project management and collaboration.

• Exceptional quantitative skills and a strong foundation in analytical thinking.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Outstanding analytical skills with the capability to derive insights and create compelling visualizations that tell a story.

• Proficiency in extracting data from databases/spreadsheets and constructing relational models of data sets.
• Comfortable with complex data analysis, including numerical calculations and data manipulations.
• A pragmatic and strategic approach to building company-wide BI solutions that align with business goals.
• Familiarity with UX design principles and recognized communication standards (e.g., IBCS) is advantageous.
• Strong leadership potential, with the ability to guide and mentor a team of Power BI developers.
