Senior Procurer: Pecans - GWK Pecans, Vaalharts at VKB Group

Job Description

Responsible for the procurement of Pecan Nuts through procuring, logistics, do market analysis and establish relationships with new producers and ensure excellent customer service by providing professional and innovative agricultural advice to new and existing Pecan nut producers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree Agricultural Field or Equivalent qualification.
• 2 years’ relevant experience
• Code 8 Driver's License and own vehicle
• Clear Criminal Record
• Willing to travel for work
• Good administration skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage client service and relationships with key stakeholders;
• Visit pecan producers before, during and after the season.
• Provide agricultural advice services;
• Receive Pecan nut information and actively procure tons for contracting;
• Communicate information to producer through relevant channel by due date and handle client queries;
• Manage price risks for producer and advise and facilitate speculative transactions;
• Ensure that the contracted product is delivered to GWK;
• Coordinate handling and logistical flow of Pecan Nuts;
• Ensure maximum market share.
• Proactively identify possible risks and ensure timely action to limit and/or prevent risks
• Responsible for the Vaalharts area, and parts of the Free-state, Douglas and Van der Kloof
