Senior Production Manager - CBS Mainline at Alstom

Purpose of the job:

The primary focus of this position is plan, lead and control the KPI’s of the relevant area of control within the rolling stock process, using the guiding principles defined in APSYS. Main KPI’s being Quality, Costs, Delivery, Safety, People development and continuous improvement.

Reporting structure

• 10 to 20 direct reports i.e. EPU managers
• 100 to 200 Production operators reporting to EPU managers within respective workshop

Key accountabilities:

• Deliver production plan with expected level i.e. Quality, Cost and Delivery
• Manage and develop manufacturing competencies (direct reports and operators)
• Deploy industrial means for manufacturing with EHS mind-set
• Deploy best environmental and EHS practices
• Ensure shopfloor improvement roadmap (APSYS) is deployed and maturity reached
• Ensure production equipment is well maintained (through TPM schedules)
• Deploy manufacturing improvement plan

Education Requirements:

• Relevant Diploma / Degree (preferably Mechanical / Electrical/ Industrial Engineering/
• Production/Operations Management)
• MDP or relevant Business management qualification will be an added advantage
• At least 10 years manufacturing, management experience
