Registered as a Professional or Candidate Engineer/Technologist with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa).
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience.
A valid Code EB driver’s license.
Key Performance Areas:
Analyze the Bulk Water conveyance system and advise the Storage and Conveyance Specialist on integrated operations required for managing water supply to the city.
Provide civil engineering guidance and support to the Operations section on the operation, repair, maintenance, refurbishment, and upgrade of Bulk Water storage and conveyance assets.
Conduct surveys, investigations, analyze data, and prepare designs, drawings, and reports.
Draft specifications, control, and monitor upgrades to ensure projects are carried out on time, meet specifications, and remain within budget to fulfill service delivery commitments.
Disseminate functional, planning, project implementation, and operational information on bulk water initiatives, including objectives, problems, and constraints.
Ensure correct and efficient written communication with internal and external parties and ensure safekeeping of all documents
