Redheads Engineering is actively seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Marine and ports division based in Durban, South Africa. In this role, you'll directly report to the Local Division Manager and oversee the maintenance and repair of our products and systems within the marine & ports business unit. You'll also play a crucial role in warranty and service calls on offshore Oil Rig installations and vessels, often operating individually and on a global scale.

Your Responsibilities:

• Commissioning systems and products, supervising installations, conducting start-ups per procedure, performing required testing, and facilitating acceptance testing in the presence of customers and approval societies.
• Maintaining systems/products, following prescribed procedures, conducting training as per agreements, and providing recommendations.
• Servicing systems/products, handling warranty call-outs, on-call services, repairs, fault tracing, and offering technical support.
• Willingness to work away from home for extended periods, including weekends and national holidays. Expect call-outs and emergency travel on short notice.
• Submitting service reports after each task, maintaining updated time sheets, and adhering to reporting requirements.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant commissioning experience, specializing in MV, LV Drives, and Switchgear.
• Knowledge of Frequency Converters and Power systems is advantageous.
• Structured, organized, solution-oriented, and a team player.
• Preference is given to candidates with an Electrical Engineering background.
