Lycopodium is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic, growing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the overall project delivery in accordance with Company, Client and industry requirements.
The tasks you'll perform
Manage the timeliness and accuracy of the project controls (reporting, costs, schedule, trends, change management) in terms of both direct and indirect costs in accordance with Company, Client and project requirements.
Develop and maintain the various project specific procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols to enable the project team to work efficiently and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work.
Drive the projects under your control to achieve contractual KPI’s and exceed Client expectation.
Ensure commercial compliance to Company, Client, and statutory requirements.
Implement and coordinate auditing of policies, procedures, standards and plans applicable to the Group in order to improve the quality and professionalism of services.
Ensure safety, environmental, community and industrial relations and quality procedures and plans adhered to on all sites.
Drive business development activities through engaging and maintaining Client relationships and key prospect development.
Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet project design criteria and deliverables.
Contribute to engineers in trainings professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
Suggest methods to improve operational efficiency.
Develop and contribute to the delivery of improvement initiatives which support business priorities for continuous improvement.
Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
Undertake regular site visits to review progress, methods, cost controls, safety, quality, environmental, risks, changes and claims, etc.
Travel on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and its operations.
The expertise you'll bring
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil, Electrical or equivalent.
A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in mineral processing and/or related industries.
A minimum of 5years of experience in Project Management, preferably leading large-scale mining projects.
Experience in progressively responsible positions within mining or heavy industrial capacity.
End to end project delivery experience, in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
A strong track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and under budget.
Understanding of open-pit or underground mining methods.
Proficiency in using or reviewing tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
