Senior Property Officer- Technical at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• Degree or three-year Diploma in Geomatics
• Five (5) years’ relevant experience Working knowledge of land use and planning processes and practice
• Knowledge of local government related legislation and policies
• In depth knowledge in research of cadastral information and deeds office ownership information
• Advanced computer literacy
• Verbal and report writing skills
• Driver’s licence and a personal vehicle is a requirement.
• SPECIAL CONDITIONS TO THE POST:
• Must have a valid driver’s licence
• Willing to enter high risk areas
• Available to be called upon in case of emergencies
• Ability to display tact under pressure
• Good verbal, public relations and conflict resolution skills
• Capable to conduct field work.

Key Performance Areas

• Oversee and execute the technical function relating to applications pertaining to Council immovable property
• Oversee the interfacing with Division and Department’s stakeholders
• Oversee the updating of property data by providing property data management reports, facilitate management decision-making
• Lead, guide and mentor staff in the technical section
• Implement the communication strategy in the Section and Department.
