Senior Quality Manager - Midrand at DSM-Firmenich

Job Purpose

Responsible for independently owning and driving Quality performance and compliance within a key strategic site within dsm-firmenich.Responsible for both Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions you will drive change and knowing that Quality is a key differentiator enabling business growth while safeguarding the company, its customers, and its consumers.

Responsibilities

• Drive the site mission and objectives within Quality, following Global and Regional strategy, to meet business and customers’ requirements.
• Drive Quality culture and continuous improvement within the team and site.
• Manage and monitor Internal Non Conformances and Customer Complaints to drive performance and aid effective communication to our internal and external customers.
• Leadership, Execution, and Implementation of Quality Management System in conformance to FSSC22000, ISO9001, RSPO and other applicable standards.
• Support right first-time production and effective Quality Control decision making and drive efficiency in the Quality Control Laboratory.
• Manage and coach the Quality teams ensuring effective succession plans are in place to encourage and develop the growth of the teams.
• Build effective relationships with Business Partners to offer support to internal customers driving best in class Quality Excellence.

You Bring

• Bachelors degree or higher in scientific orientation (chemistry, biochemistry, food industry).
• Or Experience of 5 to 10 years’ experience as a team manager in a quality role.
• Experience in management of Quality Management Systems.
• Good knowledge in Quality Management Systems (FSSC22000, ISO 9001, RSPO, Organic, ISO 22716,
• Excellent communication skills adaptable to different stakeholders.
• Rigorous and data-driven; able to make decisions autonomously and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent with informatic skills (Office Suite, LIMS, SAP etc).
• Technically proficient/knowledgeable in chemical procedures, physical measurements, GC, GCMS, HPLC, and other standard tests.
• Ideally experience in sensory analysis
• Good knowledge in Quality Management Systems (FSSC22000, ISO 9001, RSPO, Organic etc.)
