Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Report Writer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful reports that drive tactical and strategic decision-making within our IT Service Management (ITSM) framework. Your expertise in data analytics, coupled with strong reporting skills, will enable you to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze raw data from various ITSM tools and databases to identify trends, insights, and actionable recommendations.
• Translate complex data sets into concise narratives that inform decision-making at both tactical and strategic levels.
• Design, create, and maintain comprehensive reports that address key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
• Customize reports to meet the diverse needs of stakeholders, ensuring clarity and relevance in all communications.
• Utilize data visualization tools to create visually compelling dashboards and reports that enhance data understanding and accessibility.
• Implement best practices in data presentation to ensure that insights are easily digestible.
• Work closely with IT teams, management, and other departments to gather reporting requirements and understand business needs.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, facilitating discussions that drive informed decisions.
• Review and validate data accuracy and consistency prior to report dissemination.
• Ensure all reporting activities comply with organizational policies and ITIL standards.
• Continuously evaluate and refine reporting processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within the reporting framework.
• Document reporting methodologies and processes to ensure consistency and best practices.
• Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on data interpretation and report usage.
• Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives by providing insights derived from data analysis.
• Support management in aligning reporting strategies with organizational goals

Requirements

Qualifications:

• National Diploma in IT or equivalent (mandatory).
• Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent preferred).
• Data Analytics Certification (mandatory).
• ITIL Foundation Certification (mandatory).

Experience:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in report writing, data analysis, or related roles.
• Proven experience in tactical and strategic ITSM reporting.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and reporting capabilities (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy).
• Strong understanding of data visualization techniques and best practices.
