Relevant three year tertiary qualification preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Procurement Valid Code B driver’s license Computer literate Proficient in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape Compliance with the relevant Minimum Competency Levels for financial officials as prescribed (unit standard 116353 Supply Chain Management or obtainable within 18 months of appointment Five to eight years’ relevant experience across Supply Chain Management processes required which includes two years of supervisory experience.
Duties:
Coordinate, manage and oversee demand planning, acquisition and tender management processes Ensure that procurement activities are compliant, transparent, competitive, cost-effective and aligned to municipal service delivery priorities Keep abreast with Supply Chain Management developments and legislation Liaise with internal and external stakeholders Compile and present reports •Coordinate the compilation and implementation of the Annual Procurement Plan Monitor deviations from Procurement Plans and implement corrective recommendations Manage quotation and tender processes Implement preventative controls to reduce procurement non-compliance Attend meetings Compile demand analysis surveys and reports Acquisition Management Identify high-risk procurement transactions Maintain compliance monitoring systems Tender Management Supervision Handle enquiries.
