Senior Solution Architect - Cape Town at Juru Holdings

As a Senior Solution Architect will play a pivotal role in driving the solution design and delivery process for my client's Rewards program. You will be responsible for developing the solution architecture for new and existing offerings, reviewing and assisting in the development of solution architecture, and optimizing the efficiency of the solution delivery team. Your expertise will be instrumental in integrating complex on-premise and cloud (AWS) environments, including website, mobile app, back-end systems, database, data flows, data transformation, data integration, security, and infrastructure design.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the solution architecture for new and existing offerings within the Rewards program.
• Review and assist others in the development of solution architecture.
• Collaborate with the Technical Architect for my client and ecosystem architects to design technical database models, system integrations, and technical integration for file flows, web services, and APIs.
• Provide technical milestones to project managers and work with technical resources like systems analysts, ETL developers, web developers, mobile app developers, and internal/external partners.
• Work with business analysts to understand detailed business requirements and align solution architecture accordingly.
• Oversee the technical team (including Developers) and ensure continuous improvement in the delivery outputs.
• Drive an ongoing improvement plan to optimize the efficiency of the solution delivery team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a solution architect in a complex technical environment.
• Proficiency in database design, data models, and source-to-target mapping.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2016, SSIS, and optionally SSRS and SSAS.
• Experience with web services, APIs, API Gateways, and infrastructure related to application servers, web servers, and database servers.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud, web sites, and mobile apps.
• Previous use of version control tools and oversight of technical environments (DEV, TEST, PPE, PROD).
