Job Description    

• Darling Manufacturers, working with Truworths, is looking for a Senior Supervisor in Darling. The role involves driving production line efficiency, balancing workloads, enforcing quality standards and managing machine operators.
• The Senior Supervisor is responsible for leading clothing production teams to achieve daily production targets while maintaining high quality standards. The role includes supervising operators, balancing workloads, monitoring production efficiency, supporting line changeovers, solving production issues and ensuring garments are manufactured to Truworths' standards in a safe and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities    

• The Senior Supervisor is responsible for leading clothing production teams to achieve daily production targets while maintaining high quality standards. The role includes supervising operators, balancing workloads, monitoring production efficiency, supporting line changeovers, solving production issues and ensuring garments are manufactured to Truworths' standards in a safe and productive environment.

Qualifications and Experience    

• Matric
• Minimum 10 years related experience at a senior level
• Diploma in Clothing Production or Management would be an advantage but not requirement

Competencies    

• Prior clothing production experience essential
• Good technical garment construction knowledge and ensure styles are manufactured to Truworths high standards
• Good communication skills
• Monitor lines to meet hourly/daily targets and track production plans
• Set up production lines using balancing sheets and execute line changeovers in the shortest possible time
• Attend pre-production meetings and actively contribute
• Strong leadership and can-do attitude
• Having a quality-focused mindset
