Senior Support Manager at EnerMech

The Role Overview

• To cost effectively manage the Project Delivery function in support of the EnerMech business lines, to meet customer and EnerMech specifications.
• To provide leadership and guidance to the Project support service line on technical, resourcing, contractual and commercial compliance.
• Full control of Africa BFT for the various countries, management and input working with the various country Managers, reporting regularly to the AMEC Business Director.
• Accountable for the development and successful delivery of safety, quality, financial and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for further developing the Project support service offering in support of Company growth and to maintain the ability to meet clients’ needs.
• To create new and develop existing client relationships at all levels.

• Delegation of financial responsibility in absence of Line Manager.

Main Responsibilities And Activities

• To provide leadership, ensuring the presence and development of competent personnel within the business line regional teams and their development.
• Preparation of budgets, delivery of budgeted revenue and forecasts as per EnerMech nominated. Business Forecast Tool.
• Management of the commercial process ensuring projects are profitable and invoicing is performed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Provide monthly reports on KPIs, revenue and forecasts.
• Provide support to the AMEC business development team in pursuit of key projects and clients
• Actively promote a one EnerMech approach across the business working together with other business lines, locations and support functions to achieve this.
• Propose and procure assets and control Capex spend.
• Ensure all contracts are delivered safely, timely, all risk managed and in compliance with the Project Management Manual
• Develop close working relationships with Clients’ management and ensure awareness of customer requirements and key issues.
• Liaise with clients to ensure appropriate service delivery and manage complaints in a timely manner.
• Provide credible management support to clients and teams.
• Implement systems to identify underperforming personnel and develop and measure improvement plans to bring these back in line with EnerMech expectations.
• Responsible for managing the departments Unplanned Occurrence Reports (UOR) performance and ensure timely closure.
• Review and give strategic input to all business line, regional and global tenders as required.
• Manage and support performance management of the team onshore and at sites, dealing with any employee issues effectively and with the assistance of Human Resources
• Provide mentoring and development plans for direct reports.
• Resource department for current and future needs ensuring competent resources are in place to deliver contractual requirements.

Essential
The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree level education or equivalent experience
• Relevant management experience
• Demonstrable experience in one or more of EnerMech’s target sectors
• Regulatory experience
• Demonstrate the ability to grow and develop cohesive teams.
• Good understanding of commercial/cost awareness
• Experience of NAV/SAP or similar software.

Preferred

• Chartered Status or working towards Chartered Status
