Senior Technical Consultant - Network and Systems at iOCO

What you’ll do:

• Excellent customer satisfaction, interaction and engagement
• Ability to engage at management and executive level
• Understanding of TCP/IP and networking protocols
• OSPF, QoS and Multicast configuration and troubleshooting and understanding BGP
• Layer 2 networking, including STP, VLANs, port channel/Ether channel technology, etc.
• Layer 3 networking, including dynamic routing protocols (like the ones mentioned above) and HSRP/VRRP/GLBP/SVI, etc
• Experience with Fortinet SD-WAN
• Experience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, IPAM, RADIUS, etc.
• Network Packet capture and analysis (Wireshark)
• Development/Automation/Scripting knowledge (Python)
• Report and escalate issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary
• Proactively identify opportunities for work optimization, including opportunities for automation of work
• Strong knowledge of Incident and Problem management processes
• Troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues including fault management
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new methods and processes
• Mentoring of colleagues and peers both in the networking arena and others

Your Expertise:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology Networks and / or network security
• Advanced technical knowledge in switching, routing and related technologies
• Advanced technical knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet security appliances
• Solid experience in the technology support functions and tools such as change / configuration management, testing, documentation, and implementation processes
• Advanced technical support and troubleshooting
• Maintenance of complex network and network security systems
• Advanced technical knowledge in managing internal and external DNS services
• Experience in SSL certificate management
• Evaluation and optimisation of network performance
• Automation of network functions and duties

Qualifications Required:

• Fortinet NSE6 and NSE7 will be an advantage
• Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP)
• CCNP Enterprise will be an advantage
• Microsoft Azure Administrator will be an advantage
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect: Associate will be an advantage
