Senior Technician: Chemistry - Bothaville at Vaal Central Water

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Analyse portable water and wastewater chemical determinants.
• Conduct root cause analysis on non-conformances raised in the chemistry and instrumentation laboratory.
• Ensure compliance with internal management system as per the quality manual and ISO 17075:2015.
• Report out of specification results for the region, R&D and laboratory management.
• Participate in the PTS scheme as per management system requirements.
• Supervise all analytical work in the chemistry laboratory.
• Compile standard operating procedures (SOPS).
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards, Acts and Regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• B-Tech Analytical Chemistry / BSc Chemistry.
• Minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in an accredited laboratory.
• Minimum of 1-year technician experience in Chemistry at supervisory level.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025: 2017.
• Supervisory skills and report writing skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Valid driver’s license.
