Key Performance Objectives

Consulting

• Strong understanding of UX/UI methodologies, user-centered design, and best practices.
• Skilled at creating user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes to visualize concepts and interactions.
• Map user stories and scenarios to detailed user journeys.
• Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and the Adobe Suite.
• Design UX solutions and information architecture for Mobile, Web, and Lean Back products and services, applying user-centered design techniques.
• Conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys.
• Analyze research data to define user problems and inform design decisions.
• Research markets, users, and competitors; conduct analysis; collaborate with stakeholders; and run workshops to uncover challenges.
• Base UX solutions on data and evidence, balancing business objectives with user needs.
• Plan and execute a wide range of usability tests, selecting appropriate methods based on goals, inputs, and timelines.
• Interpret test results and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Measure the effectiveness of solutions using relevant UX metrics, and monitor analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude) to better understand user behavior and improve journeys across Mobile, Web, and Lean Back platforms.
• Stay current with UX design trends and incorporate them into design thinking and solutions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, using strong communication skills to set priorities and manage expectations.
• Consult across teams and projects to maintain a consistent standard of user experience across platforms.
• Support and enforce a robust design process.
• Mentor and guide junior and intermediate designers, fostering growth, collaboration, and a high standard of UX design.

Stakeholder Management

• Excellent communication skills and team-oriented work behaviour in a distributed team environment.
• Provide proposals and present results from usability tests and other user research to project teams.
• Present qualitative and quantitative insights to key stakeholders to deepen understanding of user behaviour, enhance user journeys, and inform product decisions.
• Actively work on improving user experience and engagement across all our sites and products.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to communicate UX direction and refine user interfaces.
• Communicate Design Rationale clearly, using research, data, and storytelling to make insights compelling and clear.
• Facilitate Collaborative Workshops, lead co-creation sessions and involve stakeholders early to build alignment and reduce friction
• Participate in team activities and team planning with the aim of improving team skills, awareness, and quality of work.
• Manage Expectations, setting clear timelines and keep stakeholders updated on progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Evangelise good user experience, demonstrating measurable value to other team-members and stakeholders, and encouraging a culture of UX.
• Foster a healthy tension between stakeholders, encouraging discussions that consider business needs, user needs, and what is possible.
• Handle Conflict Constructively, by focusing on user impact and facilitating constructive dialogue.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Humanities or equivalent 5 – 8 years UX design experience.
• HFI CUA highly beneficial.
• Proven track record of delivering user-centric design solutions for complex projects.

Experience

• Over 5 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating work across multiple platforms.
• Solid background in designing experiences for mobile, web, TV, VOD, and other digital interfaces, with a proven track record.
• Extensive experience in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and similar.
• Strong understanding of UX principles, responsive design, user-centered methodologies, and accessibility standards.
• Skilled in a wide range of testing techniques, including user testing, focus groups, card sorting, and tree testing; experienced in creating testing scripts and leading sessions.
• Comfortable working within Agile environments, collaborating closely with product and development teams.
• Adept at understanding business requirements and crafting UX solutions that align with technical constraints.
• Experienced in designing medium to large-scale software systems within environmental and business constraints.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly present and articulate design concepts, UX solutions, and product specifications to peers, executives, and customers.
• Actively work to optimize user flows, improve usability, and enhance overall user experiences.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, consistently advocating for user-centered design.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and designing for inclusive user experiences is desirable.
