    Senior Vice President Digital and IT

    Serves as the single point of contact for all Logistics Africa D&IT requirements and demand at an executive level. Accountable for managing IT end-to-end for Logistics Africa in terms of budgets, resources and ensuring the delivery/provision of all D&IT services.

    Job Outputs / Key Accountabilities:

    • Lead and manage the execution of end-to-end D&IT activities on behalf of the business, including the activities executed by other D&IT functions and external vendors
    • Derive the strategic IT imperatives from the business strategy and business plans ensuring alignment with the D&IT strategy
    • Formulate governance and compliance models and frameworks for D&IT in order to identify and manage risk liabilities
    • Formulate the D&IT operational budget for the business unit to ensure that the strategic deliverables are adequately budgeted for
    • Implement and manage workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, reward and recognition and employee relations for D&IT Logistics Africa to ensure an optimal working environment
    • Create an engaging, enabling and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition by demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organisational values
    • Formulate integrated service delivery frameworks to ensure exceptional D&IT service

    Provide strategic leadership and oversight:

    • Integration between business IT teams and D&IT to ensure alignment and quality of service execution
    • Relationship building across the Imperial’s businesses by sharing business information knowledge
    • Performance of existing portfolio and D&IT systems in terms of contribution to business objectives, functionality, stability and value for the business
    • Effective decision making to achieve revenue, profitability and strategic goals in line with the business’s strategic plans
    • Effective management of scope, budget and expenses for IT within the business
    • Investigation and identification of business needs and information gaps, and implement optimisation opportunities
    • Supporting adoption of strategic D&IT initiatives and solutions by the business
    • Balancing of needs of stakeholders in achieving service levels whilst maintaining compliance to D&IT governance/policies and standards
    • Alignment of new requirements and/or opportunities to the business’s strategic intent
    • Prioritisation of demand with stakeholders based on budget and resource constraints
    • Synergies within projects and/or programmes across Imperial and include synergies within a balanced and optimised D&IT portfolio
    • Review of project portfolio and proactively ensure all lagging projects have contingency and solutions
    • Standardized approach to the way in which customer feedback is handled and resolved
    • Identification of insights and creation of strategies to improve customer satisfaction and performance for the business, share strategies with other businesses
    • Continuous improvement: Identify, advocate for and lead business improvement and change. Create culture of continuous improvement and change agility

    Ensure:

    • The demand and supply management processes effectively facilitate continuous process improvements
    • Standardized integrated demand reporting, including forecasting, budgeting and resource planning
    • Service level agreements are aligned to business service requirements
    • Collaboration and co-ordination between all parties by serving as the subject matter advisor for D&IT
    • Liaison with key customer representatives to manage and resolve escalated issues and risks

    Development and/or drive:

    • An integrated view of the business IT Portfolio and the overall D&IT portfolio
    • A standardized approach to the way in which customer feedback is handled and resolved
    • IT opportunity identification/service enhancements that will result in value being unlocked for the business
    • Strategic relationships across the business

    Adhere to:

    • All corporate governance, processes, procedures and statuary, legal and other requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • IT/Business Related Post-Graduate Degree
    • BSc (Hons) Information Systems Technology
    • BCom (Hons) Informatics
    • ITIL Foundations

    Desired Qualifications:

    • ITIL Intermediate: Service Strategy
    • Business Relationship Management Professional Certification
    • Business Communications Certification

    Minimum Experience:

    • A minimum of 10 years+ Senior IT Management experience in a corporate environment leading the Digital & IT Function.
