    Service Owner (1033)

    Purpose
    We are looking for a Service Owner to lead teams and execute the service objectives. Align service strategy with portfolio objectives, be responsible for vision, value realisation of services. Agrees, manages, revises Service Level Agreements (SLA's) as required
     

    Responsibilities
    Team Management;

    • Directly manages cross functional / functional teams and aligns with societies/ standards across the organisation
    • Focuses and guides team in accomplishing Service objectives
    • Ensures that the team members are equipped with the requisite skill set required for both current and future services by developing a training and career development plan for each team member
    • Collaboratively works with team members to set performance goals and measures
    • Facilitates mentoring and coaching
    • Facilitates change management due to changing situational/organizational/market requirements
    • Manage relevant team budgets

    Strategic Objectives Alignment;

    • Accountable for a specific Service (infrastructure, applications or professional service), within the organisation regardless of where the technology components or professional capabilities lie
    • Sets and achieves delivery and quality objectives
    • Strategically align service to greater organisational goals
    • Understand and align with benefits realisation defined in your area of delivery

    •  

    Service Execution and Management;

    • Proactive engagement with customer for continuous improvement of Service
    • Maintains appropriate service(s), product(s) and technical knowledge as well as general product group knowledge
    • Prioritisation and planning of Service delivery, including implementation and management of relevant Service Level Agreements (SLA)
    • Establishes and reviews processes, procedures and efficiency objectives and ensures they are followed
    • Provide transparency and proactive communication on failure points within your Service
    • Consulting and advising on relevant Service area

    Requirements

    • Understanding of Business Objectives: Seeks to understand big picture business objectives. Ability to craft plans to realise business objectives.
    • Understanding of Software Development Methodologies: Current understanding of high performance, scale software delivery and operational methodologies.
    • Negotiation Communication Skills
    • Minimum 2 years proven leadership experience/skills
    • Minimum 3 years experience in a software industry
