Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Grade12
• Trade Test qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic/ Earthmoving
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience as Caterpillar Genera Mechanic post apprenticeship or learner ship experience.
• Minimum off 4 years Caterpillar Component rebuild experience with substantial troubleshooting exposure (post Qualification)
• Well familiar with failure analysis and re-useability guidelines on components
• Experienced trouble shooting and problem-solving skills on Earthmoving Equipment Components.
• Well imbedded Component specific technical knowledge and skills.
• Familiar with Dyno and Hydraulic testbench operation and troubleshooting.
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good technical report writing skills.
• Basic business and financial understanding.
• Computer literate and good business writing knowledge.
• Good and experiences on Caterpillar machine and product knowledge.
• Valid Drivers License
