    SHE Manager

    This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and overall management of the safety, health environmental Revlon South Africa’s facilities. This will include:

    • Provide professional expertise, consultancy and audit services in the disciplines of:
    • Occupational Health and Safety;
    • Environmental Compliance; and
    • Ensuring compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and manage action plans to drive continuous improvements in SHE.
    • Formulate and manage the locations’ financial budgets in line with the Company’s overall financial objectives.
    • Mentor and support Department’s direct reports.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for environment, safety and industrial hygiene plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations. Maintains a system for reporting, monitoring and correcting SHE problems and risks.
    • Development and execution of SHE training and incident prevention programs.
    • Educate facility Management on SHE best practices, prevention and how to work around/with hazardous substances and equipment.
    • Responsible to conduct, oversee, and document investigations of all SHE incidents. Compile and submit incident reports as required by regulatory agencies and Revlon Global policies.
    • Develops appropriate local guidelines to ensure compliance and implement applicable best practices consistent with Global policies and directives.
    • Encourages Management team to balance short-term demands with long term benefits of strategic SHE objectives.
    • Drive EHS initiatives, which reduce incident rates and environmental impacts while also increasing operational efficiency.
    • Maintain a constant familiarity with developments in occupational safety and health regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Serve as the facility’s point of contact for SHE regulatory agencies and other outside parties and auditors.
    • Establishes and enforces performance standards to manage and direct 3rd party SHE service providers, including 3rd party security company, to ensure effective operations and contain costs.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation relating to facility protection systems. (i.e. safety systems, fire escapes, etc.)
    • Develop and enforce system to ensure all Activities on site including contractor work on site is conducted in safe manner, with mandatory Safety Compliance enforced for Revlon Employees, Labour Broker Employees, Visitors and Contractors.
    • Serve as facility liaison with Corporate EHS. Participate in Corporate EHS meetings. Provide local information as needed.

    Education and Experience:

    • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of written policies and procedures;
    • Knowledge of budget forecasting, preparation and maintenance to meet business initiatives.
    • Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety.
    • Min 5 years + Work Experience in FMCG Manufacturing industry in same or similar role.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • A self-driven, dynamic team player with strong leadership skills who possesses exceptional diplomacy, prioritization and time management skills, and analytical problem-solving skills to carry-out the key area of responsibility;
    • Excellent conflict resolution skills, as well as superior communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Possesses excellent interview skills with the ability to assimilate information into a concise written report, clearly setting forth findings and recommendations for resolution;
    • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of written policies and procedures;
    • Knowledge of budget forecasting, preparation and maintenance to meet business
