SHEQ Officer at Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd.

PURPOSE

This position exists to assist the site manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safety
• Maintain FAMP safety policy and procedure requirements
• Promote safety performance
• Conduct risk assessments
• Do planned task observations
• Conduct safety meetings
• Ensure team members wear PPE
• Investigate incidents/accidents

Operations

• Maintain good housekeeping standards
• Rectify process deficiencies
• Ensures production targets are met
• Maintains quality standards
• Monitors plant performance to obtain optimum production
• Advise on requirements of process spares

Managing the Team

• Assign work. Monitor performance
• Train and develop team members. Maintain discipline in the plant

Administration

• Completes all reports regarding safety, production, personnel, quality control and maintenance
• Completes required ISO documents
• Complete incident/accident investigations
• Maintaining staff training records
• Ensure disciplinary records to be up to date

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12/N3
• COMPSOC
• SAMTRAC or equivalent
• Diploma in Safety Management would be an advantage

EXPERIENCE

• 5 years experience in mining/construction as (Plant attendant/ Junior plant operator/ Plant operator
