    SHEQ & Tool Store Co-Ordinator

    Position Description

    • The main purpose of the job is to ensure that special tools and workshop equipment is controlled according to the Volvo procedure. Ensure that the branch complies with the SHERQ system as described in the Volvo Southern Africa procedures.

    Job Objectives:

    • Maintain special tools and equipment and work environment in a clean and neat state.
    • Issue special tools to workshop personnel and recording same.
    • Follow up on tools not returned to the store.
    • Arrange the special tools on the tool boards and document its positions.
    • Implement a control method with regards to the special tools.
    • Maintain the Volvo Safety Management system as per the Safety Management System in consultation with the National Safety and Risk Manager.
    • Ensure that all the lifting equipment complies with legislation.
    • All safety equipment is checked as per safety registers.
    • Ensure that the necessary training of personnel w.r.t. health and safety takes place.
    • Administer the IOD process and related functions.
    • Create a “safety culture” within the branch.
    • Maintain the suppliers list.
    • Ensure that the branch complies to local council regulations for the Environment.
    • Ensure that the scrap is removed timeously.
    • Ensure that the used oil is stored and removed as per local council regulations.
    • Ensure that the branch is clean at all times.

    Qualification & Job Experience:

    • Matric.
    • Health and Safety certification.
    • Storekeeping experience.

    • Ability to understand instructions and perform it.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.
    • Reliability.
    • Honesty.
    • Basic Planning and organizing.
    • Good administrative skills.
    • Quality control abilities.
