    Sustainable Development Manager - Hotazel

    Job Description

    As the Sustainable Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable development strategies and programs in line with industry best practices and company goals. You will work closely with stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure that environmental, social, and economic considerations are integrated into all aspects of the company's operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement sustainable development policies and programs in line with industry standards and company objectives
    • Manage the company's sustainability strategy, including monitoring progress, setting targets, and reporting on performance
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and NGOs, to address social and environmental issues
    • Lead initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of mining operations, including water and energy conservation, waste management, and rehabilitation of land
    • Conduct stakeholder engagement activities, including community consultations and public meetings, to build positive relationships and ensure transparency
    • Monitor and report on compliance with relevant environmental regulations and industry standards
    • Provide training and support to employees on sustainable development practices and initiatives
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in sustainable development and incorporate them into company strategy and operations

    Essential Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management
    • COMSOC 1 & 2
    • Training in Incident Investigation & Risk Assessment
    • At least 10 years' experience in Safety within the mining industry
    • At least 5 years' management experience
    • Strong knowledge of sustainable development principles, regulations, and best practices
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
