SHER Administrator at RCL Foods

Job Description    

• RCL FOODS is seeking a SHER Administrator to join our RCL FOODS Division.  The role will be based in Pretoria West and report to the Risk Control Officer. RCL FOODS is looking for an individual who has strong work ethic, is able to interact on all levels of the organization and is able to compile, trend and review the FSMS and SHE Data.
• RCL FOODS entrusts the responsible individual with effective administration, maintenance, and monitoring of Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) systems to ensure full legal, ISO and internal compliance. The role supports site SHE performance through accurate data management, reporting, audit support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements    
Qualifications

• Matric
• National Diploma: Safety Management 
• BTech IN SHE or a relevent Technical Field e.g. Engineering would be advantageous
• SAMTRAC (or equivalent) will be an added advantage
• FSSC 22000, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 Training
• Internal Audit Training

Experience

• 2 - 3 years'experience in SHEQ Administration
• Working knowledge of OHS Act, COIDA, Environmental Legislation (NEMA), ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
• Experience in working principles of the Food Manufacturing Industry will be an added advantage

Knowledge

• Good understanding of HACCP, GMP
• Good understanding of SHE Systems
• COmputer literate: MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, SAP
• Good understanding of a food manufacturing environment

Duties & Responsibilities    
Key Responsibilities   

• Administer and maintain SHE administrative systems and trackers to ensure 100% SHE scorecard compliance.
• Capture, update, and verify SHE data weekly, including training matrices, inspections, incidents, NCRs and corrective actions.
• Manage SHEQX system administration, including uploads, system audits, data verification, and closure tracking of NCRs.
• Coordinate SHE training, inductions and competency administration, ensuring certifications are issued, filed, and renewed timeously.
• Capture and track incidents, near misses, first aid cases, IOD documentation and SHE inspection deviations.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems through internal audits, audit evidence compilation and corrective action tracking.
• Maintain legal compliance and statutory registers, ensuring certificates, inspections and calibrations are current.
• Compile and submit accurate SHE reports, KPIs, graphs and trend analyses to site and SHE management.
• Coordinate SHE communication initiatives, including notice boards, SHE Committee minutes, awareness campaigns and digital platforms.
• Provide operational SHE support, contribute to risk assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, and digitisation efforts.
