Shift Commander: ES-Operations - DEMS20236 at City of Ekurhuleni

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Completed 2nd Year of National Diploma in Fire Technology/(SAESI/IFE) Diploma in Fire Technology
• Fire Fighter 1 with Hazmat Awareness
• Fire Fighter 2 with Hazmat Operations
• Code C Drivers license with valid PrDP
• Emergency Services Pump Driver / Operator
• Emergency Services Driver Operator Aerial Apparatus
• BLS registration (as defined by HPCSA) with HPCSA
• Fire Fighter Instructor 1
• 4 years' experience as Fire Fighter

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform station duties and manage station activities on shift level
• Maintain Operational Readiness
• Ensure effective and efficient service delivery and compliance with relevant statutory requirements
• Respond immediately and safely to emergency incidents on scene activities
• Adhere to Governance and Financial Processes in term of legislations, policies and procedures
• Adhere to governance and risk management in terms of legislations, policies and procedures.
• Customer Service Orientation by caring for other person's life and/or assets without favour or prejudice.
• Ensure effective and efficient service delivery by promoting fair labour practise in compliance with the statutory requirements.
