A leading warehousing and logistics operation is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee the daily functions of the Central Distribution Centre. This role is key in managing shift operations, ensuring high safety standards, efficiency, and service delivery to internal and external customers.
You will have hands-on experience in warehousing systems, inventory control, team management, and compliance practices within a fast-paced supply chain environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Certificate in Warehousing / Logistics / Supply Chain (NQF 5)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehousing/logistics operations
Strong knowledge of WMS and SAP
Technical & Other Skills:
MS Office Suite proficiency
Familiarity with FIFO/LOS stock management principles
Working knowledge of a manufacturing / technical warehouse environment
Supervisory and conflict resolution skills
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise shift operations including receiving, dispatch, stock rotation, labelling, scanning, and load scheduling.
Execute daily stock checks, cycle counts, and support monthly stocktakes
Coordinate inter-shift handovers and ensure continuous workflow
Maintain safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
Lead, coach, and manage staff performance, leave, and payroll sign-off
Resolve inventory discrepancies and customer-related concerns
Ensure SAP transactions and reports are captured and submitted accurately
Monitor warehouse equipment condition and report maintenance needs
