Shipping Clerk at Phakisa Group

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Track Vessels, Update dates, Report on delays on shipments
• Preperation of Container stock with suppliers
• Updates on Supplier Invoices and documentation
• Reconcile and Validate Supplier orders
• Completion of Import and export documentation
• Stock transfers
• Liase with Stock controllers daily
• Updates to branches on container deliveries, and transfers
• Booking of Container loadings
• Create and capture shipping cost sheets
• Work with GRN's
• Arrange cover for shipments
• Obtain Freight estimates
• Arrange Courier for Stock, parts, samples
• Liase with Couriers, and suppliers daily
• Liase with Warehouse controllers daily
• Constant monitoring to ensure efficient delivery dates
• Submit payment requests
• Submit Customs documentation
• Comfortable to work with foreign currency conversions
• General assistance to National Consumables Manager

Requirements:

• Shipping and logistics experience essential
• Analytical Skills and proficient with maths
• Profitability management
• Knowledge on stock management will be an advantage
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to work well with people at all levels and influence
• Strong problem-solving and creative skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and keep to deadlines
• Leadership skills and able to work well in a team
• Attention to detail
• Driven, energetic, motivated, and able to work unsupervised
• Computer proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English
• Valid driver’s licence
