    Shut Down Start Up Coordinator

    Purpose of the Job

    • To coordinate operational activities associated with shutdowns and start-ups, making process changes and monitor operation of equipment to ensure the facility continuously meets operational targets in a reliable safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner

    Who You Are:

    • You have a good ability to perform work with the end in mind and knowing what/how to prioritize
    • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • You have a clear eye for detail and can identify and solve problems timeously
    • You are happy to work in a team and look for opportunities to enhance your skillset
    • You understand the importance of punctuality and time management and adherence to it.
    • You are happy with exchanging ideas and willing to learn from others’ feedback
    • You enjoy routine and work in a well-organized manner
    • You have a reputation for being insightful, honest, and operating with integrity

    What you’ll have done before:

    Baseline:

    • NQF Level 6 (National Diploma in Chemical Engineering or relevant)
    • 3 years’ experience in Petro-Chemical operations within the Oil & Gas environment
    • Ability to work in a plant environment (Occupational Risk & Exposure Profile)
    • Consequential operational impact (work environment with HSEQ Risks and hazardous chemicals)

    Advantageous:

    • Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant
    • Experience in Petro-Chemical product storage and movement

    • Enforce the implementation of applicable PETRONAS procedures and guidelines

    What you’ll be doing

    • Plan, prepare and execute shutdown and start up activities to deliver HSE compliant
    • Collaborate with relevant teams and experts to coordinate start-up/ shutdown timing and plans
    • Coordinate services provided by internal and external resources
    • Coordinate shutdowns and start-ups timing and plans
    • Develop scope of work and deliverables
    • Ensure effective data management processes
    • Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with all stakeholders
    • Drive the development of competent working team
    • Communicate, interpret and adhere to all Engen's policies
