RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading building contractor in Cape Town is seeking Site Engineers at various experience levels to join its construction teams across a range of building projects.
These opportunities are suitable for motivated engineering professionals who have a solid understanding of building site operations and are looking to develop their careers within an established construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of building works.
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
Coordinate subcontractors, labour and materials on site.
Conduct site inspections and assist with quality control.
Monitor construction progress and report on potential delays or technical issues.
Maintain accurate site records and relevant project documentation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
Work closely with Site Agents, Contracts Managers and other project team members to achieve project milestones.
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a relevant discipline.
3–10 years’ experience working on building construction projects.
Sound understanding of construction methods, site procedures and technical documentation.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with site management, subcontractors and consultants.
