    Site Manager

    Main Responsibilities or Functions of Job (Describe Major Responsibilities)

    • Ensure that all employees conduct all their tasks in a safe and responsible way.
    • Adhere to all legal requirements and regulations.
    • Cleanliness of the workshop an storage area / Good housekeeping
    • Maintain a high level of SHEQ responsibility.
    • Manage the relationship between Epiroc and the client to the benefit of both companies.
    • Ensure that Epiroc comply with the signed agreement between Epiroc and the client.
    • Enforce Epiroc policies and guidelines as described in “The Way we do Things”.
    • Maintain high quality of service delivery by Epiroc under all circumstances.
    • Manage the Epiroc costs, as well as accurately invoicing the customer, yielding a reasonable profit for Epiroc.
    • Ensure that all employees in area of responsibility maintain a high ethical standard.
    • Manage all Epiroc labour, ensuring that all tasks are effective and performed efficiently.
    • Coach and train staff.
    • Efficiently manage the Epiroc labour’s variable compensation for the region.
    • Manage Epiroc stock on site, ensuring correct levels and account for all stock.
    • Record keeping of all machine data and performance.
    • Responsible for workshop vehicles, plant, tools and machinery.
    • Will carry out any other function or duty as may be required in terms of “The Way We Do Things”.
    • Establish monthly meetings with key staff on mine sites to ensure expediting of outstanding issues.
    • Oversee all new machine builds and commissioning for the area and report back to MR accordingly.
    • Underground experience advantageous 

    Required Skills and Capabilities

    • Proven Managerial skills, motivation and management of staff.
    • Solid Technical knowledge of RDT products and their applications.
    • Effective planning and organisational skills.
    • Valid driver’s licence.
    • Computer Literate
    • Good communicator, and able to lead and motivate a team of people.
    • Good customer relations.
    • Interpersonal skills to work with customers and suppliers and to work as part of the team.
    • Be presentable to customers in grooming and dress code.

    Educational Qualification:

    • Grade 12 and they must be in possession of a trade qualification
    • Safety of  Epiroc employees
    • Sound Business Management and People Management Skills
    • Deliver high machine availability
    • Monthly reporting 
    • Report any issues to the RDT Parts and Service Manager within 24 hours.
