    Site Reliability Engineer Lead - GBS IND

    Job Description

    SME support for resolving Incidents, Problems, Monitoring Events, and Service Requests. Application support teams supporting Bank of America’s core wholesale banking and vendor applications, specializing in payment processing

    Responsibilities

    • SME support for resolving Incidents, Problems, Monitoring Events, and Service Requests
    • Drive process improvements (Automations) and innovation
    • Interpret business requirements into design solutions
    • Understand the design and development of the project lifecycle
    • Code Unit Testing and Component Integration Testing.
    • Creation and maintenance of system, functional and reference documentation.
    • Provide support during testing phases as required.
    • Conduct analysis and recommend bug fixes for production incidents
    • Provide On-call support
    • Carry out daily health-check activities involving application checks, system checks, and database checks and related on production systems / servers
    • Report root cause of the incidents and present ideas on how to prevent the incidents from occurring in future
    • Ensure adherence to incident and change management processes
    • Regular engagement with Business & Systems Teams looking to adopt and apply the best practice of Service Support.
    • Engage in minor ad hoc development projects focusing on process re-engineering and improvement

    Requirements

    Education: Any Graduation

    Certifications If Any: NA

    Experience Range: 8 to 12 years

    Foundational skills:

    • 8+ years of Production support experience in Java, J2EE and Unix based banking applications
    • Working knowledge of JAVA/J2EE (Springs / Hibernate/Angular), Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle PL/SQL, , File Gateway
    • Knowledge of Message Queues, IBM B2Bi, RDBMS, IBM Portal, WAS Administration is desirable
    • Business / Functional knowledge of payment flows & corporate banking (MT103 /MT101)

    Desired Skills

    • Work with senior management and stakeholders to identify problems, suggest solution and implement improvements.
    • Ability to communicate well to other members across the verticals.
    • Experience with ITIL framework
    • Experience with automation and simplification of tasks.

    Shift Timings: 10:30 AM to 07:30 PM.
