Site Shift Mobile Responder - Grade B at Thorburn Security Solutions (Pty) Ltd

Duties & Responsibilities    
Main responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Act as frontline personnel by responding promptly and safely to residential alarm activations
• Conduct patrols of all designated areas, monitoring activity and investigating/reporting suspicious behaviour
• Log and maintain accurate records of all patrols, visits, and alarm activations
• Respond to calls and service requests from clients
• Perform regular mobile patrol inspections
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are kept clean and in good condition
• Investigate all incidents and ensure they are properly documented and logged
• Enforce company rules, policies, procedures, and discipline
• Always maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism

Skills and Competencies    

• Previous experience handling a lethal weapon and completed firearm competency
• Minimum of 3 years’ Mobile Responder experience within the Safety and Security sector
• Good command of English and Afrikaans (verbal and written)
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a roster, including weekends
• Strong discipline in applying company policies and procedures
• Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
• Ability to take responsibility and work independently
• Self-motivated, committed, and hardworking
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities
• Professional work ethic and appearance

Additional requirements:

• Willingness and ability to relocate to Langebaan (if applying from outside the area)
• Location: Langebaan, West Coast, Western Cape
• Availability to start as soon as possible

Qualifications    

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent with good literacy and numeracy skills
• Valid Driver’s Licence Code 8 (EB) with a minimum of 5 years’ driving experience
• Registered and have a valid PSIRA – Grade B certificate
• Clear Criminal record
