    Snr Manager Project Controls Subs & Well Delivery

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    • Provide a comprehensive project controls service to subsurface and well delivery, supporting the VP Project Controls and Project Managers and acts as a central point of accountability and communication for all project controls activities.
    • Manage the people, processes and tools used to plan, manage and mitigate cost and schedule issues and any risk and change events that may impact the project.
    • Integrate activities between the various project controls disciplines including cost estimating, cost controlling and planning and ensuring that accurate and timely project controls are maintained

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Lead the project controls team to ensure accurate and timely project controls. Review teams plans frequently to lend assurance to the delivery of intended project objectives. Manage deliverables and milestones of the team and align both to established project controls and standards.
    • Establish relationships with all internal stakeholders, with contractors and with service provider personnel.
    • Responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate project controls manuals for the PPA projects and ensures adherence to the policies, standards, procedures and governance requirements contained therein.
    • Prepare projects controls requirements for gate reviews and ensure adherence thereto.
    • Integrate activities between the various project controls disciplines including cost estimating, cost controlling and planning. Oversee the integration with the financial and commercial requirements.
    • Establishes and monitors performance against integrated control base (covering cost, schedule and scope). Maintain integrity of the control base by ensuring that commitments remain within the approved control base and that appropriate change management processes are timeously applied. Timeously indicate deviations from the control base.
    • Measures performance of the project and of contractors against key metrics. Implement corrective controls for deviations and escalate deviations when necessary.
    • Ensure reporting on the project that is accurate, timeous and transparent.
    • Compile forecasts and review forecasted data based on the latest data, received.
    • Consolidate, report, and provide accurate feedback on project progress by liaising with project planners and managers.
    • Track and report on risks and on remaining project contingencies and risk allowance.
    • Support the project management and commercial teams with appropriate project controls inputs into RFQ documents and in assessing bids and awarding contracts.
    • Gather information, track, report and support any required claims and disputes against suppliers, vendors and work contractors.
    • Implement corrective controls for project control deviations when necessary.
    • Ensure the implementation of all Steering Committee / Board decisions regarding cost and schedules and oversee their implementation and compliance.
    • Ensure that necessary health checks are performed to provide assurance on delivery of intended objectives.

    Formal Education

    Degree /University Bachelor's Degree

    Post Graduate Honours Degree would be an advantage
