    Social Media Coordinator Job Description

    The Social Media Coordinator oversees the end to end implementation of the social media strategy across all channels. This includes content creation, organic growth per platform, digital community management, paid implementation, competitor tracking, as well as trends and keeping up with platform changes and regulation. Current platforms are Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Youtube.
    Content Creation and Calendar 

    • Create content in line with the brand objectives and agreed annual calendar
    • Grid weekly and monthly plans for all platforms by liaising with various stakeholders within the business for alignment
    • Have a clear understanding of each platform best practise rules to ensure the best types of creative are used
    • Brief designer and videographer and review the quality of work
    • Able to respond to social topics and crisis situations
    • Implement paid strategy across platforms
    • Ensure social media budget is kept up to date and monitored

    Digital Community Management

    • Daily community management and monitoring of the various social media platforms
    • Ensure customer enquiries are directed to the correct stakeholders
    • Able to engage with the right communities and hashtags
    • Provide live event coverage
    • Able to find groups of interest for campaigns 

    Trends and Reporting

    • Compile weekly and monthly reports, reporting on activity, results and trends on all social media platforms
    • Provide consumer and industry insights on all social media platforms
    • Keep up to date with social media trends and ensure this is communicated to the marketing team.

    Platform Updates and Digital Integration

    • Ensure the consumer journey is sound with all links to the website always updated and checked
    • Ensure all platform requirements are kept up to date
    • Ensure secure storage of logins and passwords 
    • Able to use tools like google analytics, Hootsuite and Tweet deck

    Requirements

    • A qualification in Marketing or Business
    • 1-3 years working experience 
    • A background in financial services and an understanding of the financial services industry will be an advantage
    • A strong social media background 
    • A strong communication and content background
    • Strong planning and organising skills
