    Social Media Manager - Cape Town

    Job Summary

    We're on the lookout for a talented Social Media Manager to join our clients team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for social media, a creative flair, and a strategic content creation and management mindset across diverse platforms.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Social Media Strategy Development: Collaborate with Account Managers and clients to devise comprehensive social media strategies that resonate with their brand identity and objectives.
    • Content Creation: Craft captivating and original content for various social media platforms, encompassing graphics, videos, and written posts. You will also be required to create content on-site for some of our clients at times on a month-to-month basis so you will need your own reliable transport.
      Teamwork and Collaboration: Foster close working relationships with internal teams and clients to ensure consistent messaging and brand integrity across all social media channels.
    • Brand Awareness: Elevate brand visibility and engagement through strategic social media campaigns and initiatives.
      Copywriting and Editing: Write and refine copy for social media posts, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and adherence to brand guidelines.
      Paid Social Campaigns: Work with the paid media team to create assets that resonate with the brand's audience and achieve client's objectives.
    • Problem-solving: Identify obstacles and opportunities within social media campaigns and devise effective solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
    • SEO Optimisation: Implement SEO best practices to enhance the visibility and discoverability of social media content.
    • Social Media Optimisation: Continuously refine social media profiles and content for optimal reach, engagement, and conversion rates.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
    • 2-3 years of experience managing social media accounts for brands across various platforms.
    • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
    • Strong understanding of paid advertising on social media platforms.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
    • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
    • Awareness of digital trends and emerging technologies in social media.
    • Own transport essential for in-office work.
