We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Social Sciences and Life Orientation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Social Sciences and Life Orientation education, and be committed to providing high-quality instruction to students.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in social sciences and life orientation to students
Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
Assess students' progress and provide timely feedback to help them achieve their academic goals
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular projects and initiatives
Stay current with trends in social sciences and life orientation education and incorporate new ideas and approaches into teaching practice
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a successful learning experience for all
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, Social Sciences, or a related field
SACE certificate
Previous experience teaching social sciences and life orientation at the secondary level
Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and best practices in social sciences and life orientation education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for working with young people and helping them develop critical thinking skills and responsible decision-making abilities
